Sowing the seeds of synergy between aviation skills and business education, MDI Gurgaon has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Aviation Academy. Together, MDI and IAA will design, develop and deliver joint management development programmes in aviation management.

Long-term plans

Talking about the collaboration, Pawan Kumar Singh, Director, MDI Gurgaon, said, “Through this partnership, MDI Gurgaon will foster a culture of experiential learning with training activities in the field of aviation. The institute envisions the holistic development of the students, and this programme will help knowledge transfer, improving overall upliftment of aspirants, and moulding their career in the aviation industry. This partnership will not only benefit youth taking up high-quality training but will also allow the industry to meet its requirements for trained manpower.”

The five-year collaboration of MDI Gurgaon and IAA will bring academia and industry on a common platform. Both the institutions will work towards promoting joint research, case studies, publications, and so on. and collaborate with International Summer University for superior outreach and experiential learning of participants from various global institutions in the future.

Bridging gaps

Hareendranathan EP, Executive Director, IAA said, “Aviation is a complex, volatile and dynamic industry employing highly skilled and enriched human resource. Bridging the gap between learning outcomes and industry requirements by innovative, quality courses will be the greatest enabler of aviation resurgence. This collaboration is a testimony of our resolve to nurture a robust, sustained aviation ecosystem.

The MoU signed at MDI Gurgaon campus witnessed the presence of Deans of MDI Gurgaon and senior officials of IAA.
