Purpose of the Course: The course will assist the participants in obtaining and maintaining the currency of Aerodrome license of all AAI managed airports used for scheduled air transport operations, as envisaged in national and International regulations and learn how to prepare for the certification system and processes, together with pre-certification documentation, including the initial as well as on-going regulatory oversight activities and the steps to take when regulatory intervention is deemed necessary. Important aspects such as regulatory oversight of aerodrome changes (including work in progress) and the protection of the obstacle limitation surfaces during such change.   Learning Objectives: On completion of this course participant will be able to learn: The detailed requirements for obtaining aerodrome license DGCA CAR Section 4, Series F, Part-I  Review key topics in the Manual on the Certification of Aerodromes Understand the certification regulatory system, certification model regulations and procedures Identify and measure the impacts of the certification requirements on the operations of an aerodrome Understand and fulfil the respective roles and responsibilities of the aerodrome operator and the regulator Guidance and preparing AAI managed airports for obtaining aerodrome licensing documents e.g. CAR Compliance Check List Licensing Fee (to be paid online, receipt to be attached) Aerodrome Manual SMS Manual Other documents mentioned in the CAR. Provide guidance and assistance to airports in Monitoring and maintaining aerodrome licensing status of AAI managed airports. Providing comments on soft copy of aerodrome licensing documents sent by airports, before calling them to CHQ for submission of documents in hard copy.  Learn aerodrome operator obligations to ICAO: Annex 14, emergency response plan, safety management system and aerodrome manual  Put theories into practice through a course integration exercise Target Audience: For AAI-Jr Executive and above but up to Jt.GM Level from Operations, ATM, CNS, Engineering and Planning For others- Middle management level personnel
